Fabricio Prazeres Pereira da Silva *09.04.90

Fabricio Prazeres Pereira da Silva

Together with his three sisters and brothers Fabricio grew up with at his grandmothers. His mother died when he was still very young. He does not know his father. Although Fabricio never suffered from hunger at home, one day he just started living on the streets. He says that he left because his brothers would beat him up regularly.
Fabricio worked and begged on the street. Like most other streetchildren he was smoking and sniffing glue. However, he would never take any other drugs. He was frequently beaten up by the police. Fabricio has already seen a great deal of violence in his very young life.
On the street, Fabricio had a leading position. It was therefore difficult for the other children to see Fabricio leaving the street and starting a new life at the children’s farm of the Little Nazareno. Fabricio has been living with us since July 2004. He is a serious and quiet boy. He is ambitious and sensitive and an extraordinary football player: quick, clever and has intelligent tactics. Later on in his life, he would love to live in Germany and to become a professional football player.
